Job Details:
We seek to add an experienced Commercial Litigation Attorney for my direct client. Ideal candidates will have experience preparing pleadings and written discovery, researching and briefing complex issues, presenting oral argument, taking and defending depositions, and possesses prior trial, mediation and arbitration experience.
Attorney provides updates and regularly consults with Supervising Attorneys as commensurate with experience.
We would like to talk with candidates who hold five (5) years of five years of litigation or related experience and who are licensed to practice law in New York State.
Must-Have Skills:
Experience: 5+ years of litigation or related legal experience, with a focus on commercial litigation.
Legal License: Licensed to practice law in New York State.
Litigation Expertise:
Experience preparing pleadings and written discovery.
Skilled in researching and briefing complex legal issues.
Prior experience in trial, mediation, and arbitration.
Oral and Written Advocacy: Strong oral argument skills and experience in depositions (taking and defending).
Collaboration: Ability to consult and update supervising attorneys regularly.
Good-to-Have Skills:
Research & Analysis: Strong research skills for complex legal issues.
Communication: Effective communication and consultation with supervising attorneys.
Client Interaction: Ability to manage client expectations and provide case updates.
Teamwork: Experience working within practice groups on both transactional and litigation cases.
